This 2-week course is designed for undergraduate students with an interest in wildlife from a pre-veterinary, biology, or conservation perspective. Through a combination of classroom lectures, field trips, and practicums, they are introduced to tropical ecology, local conservation efforts, Belizean wildlife, and wildlife research techniques. This intensive, introductory course helps them understand the many factors that affect the management, conservation, habitat, and health of wild animals. Program Highlights
Combine 2 courses and stay for an entire month in Belize, but pay less for your tuition!
Learn about a range of wildlife health topics, from captive animal care to human-wildlife conflict.
Join the course in either winter (January) or summer (May or June).

So many best parts

The best parts were suturing and necropsies and also enrichment because I made connections with my animals. Oh and cave tubing and snorkeling because that's really when I made lifelong friends!
Behind the scenes at the zoo

Everyone else was friendly and accommodating and all the guest lectures were amazing. The best part was the monkey sanctuary, going behind the scenes at the Belize Zoo, snorkeling on the beach trip, and the spay-neuter trip. I really got to experience Belize and the wildlife there.

Every staff I encountered made me feel special. This program is amazing and I do not even have any changes I'd suggest. CELA Belize is a great program and even the food is soo good!
