Online TEFL Courses

I've been a trainer within the IT field for most of my career, and I thoroughly enjoyed this course as it brought me into the light of being a student again. Even though it wasn't instructor-led, it was even more effective as I was responsible for creating content that could be done with or without an instructor. The opportunity to attempt exams immediately after completing each section was very refreshing. The assignments were well formulated and the final lesson plan was a great challenge to pass. I thank you for the content and look forward to my certificate and being able to spread the English language across the globe to those who need it most.

Transformative is the experience I got from the TEFL Level 5 certification; I undertook it in its entirely online and independent format. I had to go back to the basics of self-discipline and motivation to progress in this course, since any kind of in-person support was nonexistent, a vacuum in my online experience. Yet somehow, I got through. I not only got the piece of paper at the end of this journey, but, more important, I got a well-structured, comprehensive, and practical picture of what and how to teach. This experience was engaging and relevant at a level I hadn't experienced in quite some time. It filled me with resolve to go on and teach English as a second or foreign language. I hated the course in a way I hadn't hated something in quite some time, and I loved it at the same time. I hated it for the amount of slog it required. At the same time, I loved it for how damn relevant it was. Even though I didn’t go overseas during my certification, the course really showed me what it’s like to teach English in a global context. I’m now awaiting responses from the programs I applied to so I can take the next step. I’m really excited about applying what I learned in the course to an actual job, and I really hope my story encourages people to take the online TEFL route.
