SBS Merit ScholarshipThe SBS Merit Scholarship, formerly known as "Pellegrini Scholarship - merit only", is a partial tuition grant, which is based on merit alone (cumulative Grade Point Average at least 3.0). UEA International Student ScholarshipsThe University of East Anglia awards scholarships each year to support international students in their studies. The awards are made by individual Schools of Study in the University. All international students (outside the European Union) are considered for a scholarship of between 10% and 50% of tuition fees.

Application Deadline - October 9, 2018 The GCA Summer Scholarship in Field BotanyIn 1997, The Garden Club of America became aware of the closing of many botany departments at colleges and universities in the US. Many other institutions were eliminating or consolidating botany courses or integrating them with other majors such as biology. It was felt that this would lead to the reduction of botany scholars and professors. To help offset this trend, the Scholarship Committee added a proposal for a summer scholarship in field botany to its list of possible new offerings. Mary Ann Streeter (Mrs. Henry), a member of the North Shore Garden Club of Massachusetts, offered to fund this opportunity beginning in 2000. Mrs. Streeter is an ardent horticulturist who has served in GCA positions for many years at the club, zone, and national levels.

Application Deadline - Applications can be submitted at any time Hench Post-Dissertation FellowshipScholars who are no more than three years beyond receipt of the doctorate are eligible to apply for a special year-long residential fellowship at the American Antiquarian Society to revise their dissertation for publication. Established as the Mellon Post-Dissertation Fellowship in 1998, the fellowship has been renamed in honor of John B. Hench, who retires in August 2007 as vice president for collections and programs after thirty-three years on the staff of the American Antiquarian Society. The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, generous sponsor of this fellowship, has made a challenge grant to the Society, which is currently raising money to endow this fellowship.
The purpose of the post-dissertation fellowship is to provide the recipient with time and resources to extend research and/or to revise the dissertation for publication. Any topic relevant to the Society's library collections and programmatic scope--that is, American history and culture through 1876--is eligible.
Applicants may come from such fields as history, literature, American studies, political science, art history, music history, and others relating to America in the period of the Society's coverage. The Society welcomes applications from those who have advance book contracts, as well as those who have not yet made contact with a publisher. The twelve-month stipend for this fellowship is $35,000.
The Hench Post-Dissertation Fellowship offers splendid opportunities for collegiality with and mentoring from the staff, other visiting fellows, and the academic community in and near Worcester, Massachusetts. Recipients of other AAS long-term and short-term fellowships--academic scholars as well as creative and performing artists and writers--will be in residence for varying periods of time throughout the Hench Post-Dissertation Fellow's tenure.

Application Deadline - October 15 AAS-National Endowment for the Humanities Long-Term FellowshipsThe National Endowment for the Humanities, which funds long-term (four to twelve months) postdoctoral fellowships at AAS, has established the guidelines for applicants. NEH fellowships are for persons who have already completed their formal professional training. Degree candidates and persons seeking support for work in pursuit of a degree are not eligible to hold AAS-NEH fellowships. Foreign nationals who have been residents in the United States for at least three years immediately preceding the application deadline for the fellowship are eligible. Funding Schedule
The amount awarded depends on the duration of the experience, but also on the actual cost of the planned experience as documented in the budget. As a guideline the amounts will be:

In accordance with the mission of the Foundation, priority is given to events that foster the creation of an international community of research scholars in anthropology and advance significant and innovative anthropological research.
Conferences are defined as public events that are comprised primarily of oral and poster presentations to a larger audience of anthropologists. Priority is given to major conferences sponsored by large international anthropological organizations (e.g., the European Association of Social Anthropologists, European Anthropological Association, Pan African Anthropological Association, and Latin American Anthropological Association) that serve as their annual or periodic meetings. The majority of the funds granted to such conferences is expected to be used towards expenses for international scholars who are making presentations at the conference and would not otherwise be able to attend.
Workshops are defined as working meetings that focus on developing and debating topical issues in theoretical anthropology. Workshops involve a small group of scholars who meet for a sufficient period of time to deal intensively with the topic. The scholarship covers a first-year tuition fee and a relocation grant of 5,000€ as a minimum.
Application Deadline - Offered year round SFS Financial AidSFS works closely with your home school to help you fund your SFS program. Many applicants receive aid through their home institutions or other outside sources, so check with your financial aid office to see what aid may apply to an SFS program. All students are welcome to apply for our need-based financial aid.
SFS Semester scholarships range between $500-$6,000. SFS Summer single scholarships range between $250-$2,500. SFS Summer combined scholarships range from $500-$5,000.
